What the Rako RLED30CV4+ is
The Rako RLED30CV4+ is a constant-voltage LED dimmer with up to four individually controllable outputs and a built-in Rako wireless receiver. It suits colour-changing and tunable-white tape. The WLED30CV4 is the wired-system equivalent; for a single colour, the RLED75CV1 is simpler.
Where it sits in a Rako system
It is controlled from Rako wireless transmitters such as an RK-EOS-6 keypad or the RK-HUB, and configured in RASOFT Pro through a RAMPI or Hub. Rako lists four modes: four RGBW channels, one RGBW channel, one RGB channel or one tunable-white channel. Where a run approaches the limit, the RLED30BOOST extends it. See all Rako wireless modules.
Ratings and limits
- 12V DC: 90W total on 3 channels, 120W on 4 channels
- 24V DC: 180W total on 3 channels, 240W on 4 channels
- Minimum load: 1W
- Reverse-polarity input protection and output current limit; 10A blade fuse
Power and connection
It runs from a separate 12V or 24V DC LED supply, which is not included. It has a 2-way terminal for the DC supply and a 6-way terminal for the load, and communicates by FM radio at 433.9MHz. Rako's RLED30CV4+ instruction manual covers installation.
Fitting
An in-line module measuring 172 x 46 x 40mm and weighing 142g. It operates from +2°C to +40°C.
Questions
Can the Rako RLED30CV4+ do tunable white?
Yes. Rako lists a colour-tunable mode alongside RGBW and RGB.
How much LED tape can the RLED30CV4+ run?
Up to 30W a channel at 12V DC or 60W a channel at 24V DC. Add RLED30BOOST units for longer runs.
Does the RLED30CV4+ include a power supply?
No. It needs a separate 12V or 24V DC supply.
Does the Rako RLED30CV4+ need a hub?
No. Any Rako wireless transmitter, such as a keypad, can control it. An RK-HUB adds app control, voice assistants and timed events.
