What the Rako RK-EOS-6 is
The Rako RK-EOS-6 is the keypad electronics for a six-button EOS wireless keypad. The WK-EOS-6 is the wired-system version. It is not usable on its own: an RP-EOS-6 cover plate kit provides the front buttons.
Where it sits in a Rako system
It sends Rako wireless commands to modules such as the RMT-500, including to several rooms from one button. It is programmed with RASOFT Pro through a RAMPI or RK-HUB, both of which offer NFC programming, before it goes into the mounting grid. For surface mounting, use the XCE-EOS-SB pattress.
Ratings and limits
- Six buttons
- Blue LED pulse to confirm each transmission
- Dry locations only
Power and connection
It runs from one CR2032 3V lithium coin cell and communicates by FM radio at 433.9MHz, so no wiring is needed beyond the back box. Keep it accessible for battery changes. Rako's RK-EOS-6 instruction manual covers set-up.
Fitting
Flush mounts into a standard UK single-gang back box; Rako recommends at least 35mm depth. Metal back boxes reduce range. The module measures 50 x 50 x 12mm and weighs 24g; the cover plate is 88 x 88 x 3mm. Rako's plate designer shows the finishes.
