What the Rako RK-HUB is
The Rako RK-HUB is a network interface for Rako wireless systems. It links the 433.9MHz Rako wireless network to your router over Ethernet, providing app control, a cloud gateway to voice assistants, IP integration with third-party control systems, and automation. The WK-HUB is the version with a Rako wired port for CAT5 systems.
Where it sits in a Rako system
The RK-HUB talks to Rako wireless modules such as the RMT-500 and keypads such as the RK-EOS-6. RASOFT Pro connects to it over the network for programming, and its NFC pad programs Rako NFC products, so it can do the job of a RAMPI. The project file uploaded to the Hub is what the Rako app uses. Where reception is weak, add a WRB100 repeater. See the Rako Hub range.
What it adds
- Rako app control and IP integration with third-party control systems

Power and connection
The RK-HUB takes 12V DC through a concentric jack; a 12V power supply is in the box, and Rako names the RAPSU as a suitable supply. It has an RJ45 Ethernet port and a USB 2.0 port, and Rako supplies an Ethernet cable and a 433.9MHz antenna. Rako's RK-HUB manual covers setup.

Questions
Do I need an RK-HUB for a Rako wireless system?
Not for keypad control: Rako wireless modules respond to keypads directly. You need the RK-HUB for app control, voice assistants, timed events, macros and holiday mode.
Does the Rako RK-HUB work with Alexa, Google Home and Apple Home?
Yes, once the Hub is linked to a my.rakocontrols.com account.
What is the difference between the RK-HUB and the WK-HUB?
The RK-HUB is for Rako wireless systems and runs from a 12V supply. The WK-HUB has a Rako wired port for CAT5 systems.
Can the RK-HUB replace a RAMPI for programming?
Yes. Rako's module manuals list a RAMPI or a Hub as the RASOFT Pro communication device, and the Hub has its own NFC pad.
