What the Rako RAMPI is
The Rako RAMPI is a USB programming device for Rako wireless systems and Rako NFC products. It has RF receive and transmit functions and bi-directional NFC, and replaces Rako's obsolete RAUSB. Rako describes it as a programming tool; everyday app and voice control come from the RK-HUB.
Where it sits in a Rako system
Plugged into a computer running RASOFT Pro, the RAMPI programs individual wireless modules such as the RMT-500, and wireless RAK systems controlled by an RX-LINK. Held against an NFC device, it programs keypads such as the RK-EOS-6 and interfaces such as the RCI-4L and RCI-7M. Its built-in receiver shows wireless commands in RASOFT Pro, which helps confirm programming. See all Rako wireless interfaces.
Power and connection
The RAMPI connects to a computer by USB. Rako offers USB-A and USB-C versions. It requires RASOFT Pro, available from rakocontrols.com. Rako's RAMPI instruction manual covers setup.

Questions
What software does the Rako RAMPI need?
RASOFT Pro, Rako's programming software. The RAMPI does not work without it.
Do I need a RAMPI if I have an RK-HUB?
Not necessarily. Rako's module manuals list either a RAMPI or a Hub as the RASOFT Pro communication device, and the Hub has its own NFC pad.
Can the RAMPI program NFC keypads?
Yes. It programs Rako NFC devices, including RK-EOS keypads and RCI-4L and RCI-7M interfaces, when held against them.
Does the RAMPI give me app control?
No. It is a programming tool. App and voice control need an RK-HUB.
