What the Rako RAK-LINK is
The Rako RAK-LINK supplies power and handles communication between the Rako wired network and RAK8 units. For wireless control of RAKs, the RX-LINK does this job instead.
Where it sits in a Rako system
It connects to RAK8-MB and RAK8-S boards and to wired devices such as the WK-EOS-6 keypad and WK-HUB. For many home-run cables, add a RAK-STAR. More circuits need more RAK-LINKs. See the Rako RAK system.
Ratings and limits
- Up to 4 RAK8 units (32 circuits) per RAK-LINK
- Network supply: 15V DC 3A
- Powers up to 40 Rako wired devices
Power and connection
It runs from 230V AC 50Hz and needs a 6A Type B MCB. It has three RJ11 ports for the Rako wired network, one RJ45 port for RAKs and an 8-way Krone connector, and supports CAT5e, CAT6 and RJ11 cabling. It communicates over CAN and RS485. Rako's RAK-LINK instruction manual covers installation.
Fitting
Wall mounted, with knockouts on the top, bottom, sides and rear. It measures 137 x 253 x 80mm, weighs 2kg and operates from +2°C to +40°C.
