What the Rako WRB100 is
The Rako WRB100 is a repeater for both Rako wireless and wired networks. Rako's module manuals, such as the RMT-500 manual, recommend it when LED diagnostics show poor wireless reception.
Where it sits in a Rako system
In wireless mode it repeats each command three times, then blocks retransmission to prevent loops. In wired mode two or more WRB100 units can be linked by CAT5/CAT6 to carry commands between distant areas, and it can bridge a wireless system to a wired one. See all Rako wireless interfaces.
Ratings and limits
- Wireless mode: repeats a command three times
- Wired mode: one command per second
- Wired spine: CAT5/CAT6
Power and connection
It runs from 12V DC via a jack plug, with the power supply included. Wired connection is by RJ11 socket or punch-down connector. It communicates by Rakom coded FM radio at 433.9MHz. Rako's WRB100 instruction manual covers installation.
Fitting
Mount vertically or horizontally in a dry, ventilated, accessible place away from metal enclosures. It measures 172 x 40 x 46mm, weighs 175g and operates from +2°C to +40°C.
Questions
When do I need a Rako WRB100?
