What the Rako WMT-400 is
The Rako WMT-400 is a 400W trailing-edge insert card, giving quiet dimming of electronic transformer loads and GU10 LED fittings. It is the RAK8 counterpart of the in-line RMT-500; for leading-edge loads, use the WML-300 card.
Where it sits in a Rako system
The WMT-400 plugs into one of the eight slots on a RAK8-MB motherboard and can be mixed with other RAK8 cards. It has no memory of its own: programming is stored on the motherboard, so cards can be swapped without reprogramming. It needs a RAK-LINK in a wired system or an RX-LINK in a wireless one. It is programmed in RASOFT Pro and controlled from Rako keypads, remotes and the Rako app. See the Rako RAK system.
Ratings and limits
- Maximum load: 400W
- Trailing-edge dimmable loads: LED, tungsten, low-voltage halogen
Power and connection
The card takes power and control from the RAK8-MB, which runs from 230V AC 50Hz and needs a 10A Type B MCB. Rako's RAK8-MB instruction manual covers installation, which should be done by a competent electrician.
Fitting
Plugs into a RAK8-MB slot. The motherboard must be mounted vertically so its ventilation works.
Questions

Can the Rako WMT-400 dim LED?
Yes. Rako lists LED lamps among its trailing-edge dimmable loads, up to 400W.
Does the WMT-400 work in a wireless Rako system?
Yes, when its RAK8-MB is connected through an RX-LINK. In a wired system it connects through a RAK-LINK.
