What the Rako DIN-4T is
The Rako DIN-4T is a 4-channel trailing-edge dimmer for DIN rail enclosures. It is the dimming module of the DIN range; the DIN-8S switches non-dimmable loads and the DIN-4C controls blinds.
Where it sits in a Rako system
It sits on the DIN bus behind a DIN-LINK, which links the DIN modules to the Rako wired network and is powered by a DIN-PSU-100. Programming is done in RASOFT Pro and needs a WK-HUB. Wireless keypads can control it through a WK-HUB or WRB100. See the Rako DIN range.
Ratings and limits
- LED: up to 200W per channel
- Mains halogen: up to 400W per channel
- Total rated current: 10A; minimum load 1W
- Auto-resetting short-circuit, over-temperature and surge protection; 10A main and 5A channel fuses
Power and connection
It runs from 230V AC (+10% / -15%) and connects to the DIN bus by a 4-way screw terminal. It uses 8 of the DIN-LINK's 64 DPU. Rako's DIN-4T instruction manual covers installation, which should be done by a competent electrician.
Fitting
Mounts on a top-hat DIN rail (IEC/EN 60715) and is 9 DIN modules wide (157 x 110 x 59mm, 285g), with 150mm vertical clearance required. It operates from +2°C to +40°C.
Questions
What load can each Rako DIN-4T channel dim?
Up to 200W of LED or 400W of mains halogen, within 10A total.
What does the DIN-4T need to work?
A DIN-LINK with a DIN-PSU-100, and a WK-HUB for programming.
Can the DIN-4T be controlled from wireless keypads?
Yes, through a WK-HUB or WRB100 bridging to the wired network.
