Why Rako WK-PIR

Wired ceiling presence sensor for Rako wired (CAT5 / Rakom) systems

Presence

Turns lights to a scene when someone is in the room, and to another scene when the room is empty.

Wired network

Sits on the wired Rako network with the keypads and modules for that floor.

Ceiling mount

Fits a typical ceiling cut-out, so the sensor reads the room rather than a doorway.

What the Rako WK-PIR is

The Rako WK-PIR is Rako's presence sensor for wired systems. The RK-PIR is the battery-powered wireless version.

Where it sits in a Rako system

It plugs by RJ11 into the supplied WK-CONNECT, which joins the CAT5 or CAT6 wired network. Rako states a WK-HUB is required to program and operate it; it is set up through web pages. See all Rako wired interfaces.

Ratings and limits

  • Modes: always, time range, sunlight
  • Absence detection
  • Ingress protection: IP20

Power and connection

Powered at 15V DC from the Rako wired network via the WK-CONNECT; communicates over CAN bus. Rako's WK-PIR instruction manual covers installation.

Fitting

Ceiling mounted in a 48-51mm cut-out. It measures 61.5 x 61.5 x 32mm, weighs 47g and operates from +2°C to +40°C.

Rako app

Scenes from the keypad, and from the phone

This product sits in a Rako system. The keypad on the wall runs the room. With an RK-HUB or WK-HUB, the same scenes also run from the free Rako app.

  • Room scenes from the keypad on the wall
  • App control once an RK-HUB or WK-HUB is on the network
  • Voice, timers and holiday mode from the Hub

The Rako app is published by Rako, and needs an RK-HUB or WK-HUB with firmware 3.7.6 or later.
